The Islamic finance industry’s geographical presence has grown beyond its traditional markets in the Middle East and South East Asia to include new players from diverse regions such as Africa, East Asia and the Americas. Given the bright prospects for the industry in these markets, it is likely that Islamic finance will continue to expand there.
Emerging Markets Hold the Key for Future Growth of the Responsible Finance Industry
Malaysia to host the summit to expand the footprint of responsible finance across emerging markets. Hosted by Bank Negara Malaysia, the inaugural Responsible Finance Summit will be held on 30 and 31 March, 2016 in Kuala Lumpur at Sasana Kijang- an iconic center for thought leadership in banking and finance. Under the theme of “Unlocking Finance, Expanding Impact”, the Summit will highlight emerging markets as the most important frontier for the expansion of the responsible finance industry.
