PPZ-MAIWP, RHB Islamic forge strategic partnership

The Zakat Collection Centre of the Federal Territory Islamic Religious Council (PPZ-MAIWP) has entered into a strategic partnership with RHB Islamic Bank Bhd to raise awareness on the importance of zakat through a holistic approach.

The partnership aims to promote social financial sustainability among the Muslim community, apart from optimising the potential and effectiveness of zakat, including the aspects of collection, management of zakat wakalah and distribution of zakat.

PPZ-MAIWP CEO Abdul Hakim Amir Osman said this strategic partnership will be a catalyst to build a viable business entity and in turn, enable the company to receive higher dividend returns and increase zakat payments in the coming years.

“Thank you very much to RHB Islamic as the payer of zakat, because it is your zakat payment that helps increase the zakat fund so that the distribution for the continuity of asnaf made by MAIWP is sufficient.
