Islamic finance now capable to lead from the front, says Sultan Nazrin

The response of the Islamic finance industry to the Covid-19 pandemic has shown that it can lead from the front, as opposed to merely following the consensus, said Sultan of Perak Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah.

The Sultan, who is also the Royal Patron for Malaysia’s Islamic Finance Initiative, said the great potential of Islamic finance to lead in an equitable, global economic recovery is demonstrated by actions of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) during the pandemic.
