International Islamic Fiqh Academy and UNHCR join efforts to support forcibly displaced people through Zakat and Sadaqah

The International Islamic Fiqh Academy (IIFA), a subsidiary of the Organization for Islamic Cooperation (OIC), announced today its support of the efforts of UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, to receive and distribute Zakat and Sadaqah funds for the benefit of refugees and displaced persons around the world, through the Refugee Zakat Fund.
This comes as part of UNHCR’s global campaign “#EverySecondCounts", which aims to alleviate the economic hardships faced by forcibly displaced families far from their homes and loved ones, by directing Zakat and Sadaqah contributions to the most vulnerable groups, through the Refugee Zakat Fund.
