Bank Islam channels RM400,000 for flood victims

Bank Islam Malaysia Berhad (Bank Islam) will channel funds amounting to RM400,000 from its Islamic crowdfunding platform, Sadaqa House, as humanitarian and disaster relief in several affected states.

“Apart from offering moratorium to customers affected by the disaster, we have decided to double our effort by allocating contributions from our Islamic social finance initiatives, Sadaqa House, to ensure significant support and assistance are channeled to the affected victims,” Bank Islam CEO Mohd Muazzam Mohamed (picture) said in a statement.
