Appointment of HRH Raja Nazrin Shah as Financial Ambassador for Malaysia International Islamic Financial Centre

The Malaysia International Islamic Financial Centre (MIFC) Executive Committee is pleased to inform that His Royal Highness Raja Dr Nazrin Shah Ibni Sultan Azlan Muhibbuddin Shah, Crown Prince of Perak Darul Ridzuan has graciously consented to accept the invitation to assume the role as the Financial Ambassador for international MIFC initiatives.
The Financial Ambassador will support the MIFC by advancing bilateral relations between Malaysia and leaders of nations, industry captains and key decision makers of regional and global financial communities, particularly from the Middle Eastern countries.
His Royal Highness holds a B.A. (Hons) in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from the University of Oxford, United Kingdom, a Masters in Public Administration from Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University, and a Ph.D. in Political Economy and Government from Harvard University, U.S.A. Distinguished positions currently held include the Pro-Chancellor of University of Malaya, President of Perak Council of Religion and Malay Custom and President of Perak State Islamic Economic Development Corporation.
The MIFC plays an important role in accelerating the process of bridging and strengthening relationships with international Islamic financial markets and thereby expanding the investment and trade relations between the Middle East, West Asia and North Africa regions with East Asia . The MIFC Executive Committee was formed in mid-2006 to provide strategic direction, oversee alignment of roles and responsibilities of stakeholders and drive implementation of policies and strategies towards achieving the national agenda of positioning Malaysia as a premier international Islamic financial hub.
